Sales are offered in Japan and some other countries and regions. The countries and regions not covered are listed in the Terms of Service. If a purchase is completed with a card issued in a region outside the covered areas, we will cancel the purchase and refund the full amount.

Charges other than the item price

The reader bears the cost of the internet connection.

Payment method and timing

Payment is by credit card. Single purchases are charged when the purchase is completed. A subscription is a monthly or yearly recurring purchase; the first charge is made at the time of application, and thereafter, until you cancel, renewal and charging are made automatically on the start date of each cycle.

Time of provision

You can read the content immediately after payment is completed.

System requirements

You can read the content in a current version of a common web browser. No dedicated software is required.

Returns and cancellation

Because of the nature of digital content, single purchases are not refunded on the grounds of dissatisfaction with the content. You can cancel a subscription at any time from the customer portal; after cancellation, you can still read until the end of the period you have paid for, and access ends when that period ends. There is no prorated refund for the middle of a period. If you are charged twice, or payment is completed but access is not provided, we will confirm the facts and refund the full amount.
